DPF Cleaning And Service
Diesel particulate filter service at Torpedo begins with a differential pressure test and soot load estimate from the truck’s aftertreatment control module. We determine whether the filter requires a forced active regen, a bake-and-blow cleaning, or full replacement — avoiding unnecessary replacements while ensuring the filter is restored to acceptable flow restriction.
DPF cleaning is performed using a thermal bake process to convert soot to ash followed by a pneumatic blow-down to remove the ash from the filter substrate. Flow testing before and after cleaning confirms the filter has been restored to within the manufacturer’s acceptable backpressure range before it is reinstalled in the truck.
- Differential pressure sensors tested and replaced if out of calibration
- DPF outlet temperature sensor operation confirmed after cleaning
- Forced regen performed post-install to verify full system function
